Is my Nvidia Evga gtx 970 gpu too hot when playing Overwatch?

Daniel1

I notice my gtx 970 temps around 77-78 Celsius when playing Overwatch.  Is my gpu temperature bad when playing Overwatch?  My Ryzen 3900x is around 44 Celsius.  I am using the Fractal Design Meshify C.  For cooling, I have two be quiet! Silent Wing 3 PWM 140 mm fans in the front and one be quiet! Silent Wing 3 PWM 120 mm fan in the rear.

It seems fine. As long as it isn't overheating and being throttled (which it isn't) it's ok. The CPU seems like it's being bottlenecked given it's low temperature though (depending on the cooler of course)

Either @piratemonkey or quote me when responding to me. I won't see otherwise

Lol, my rx480 gets like 90's, as the reference coolers for that gen sucked.

I could use some help with this!

please, pm me if you would like to contribute to my gpu bios database (includes overclocking bios, stock bios, and upgrades to gpus via modding)

ya it's bottlenecked, though it is a good cooler. But for the original question, no the gpu is fine

When I get the RTX 3080, will that reduce my CPU bottleneck?

Overwatch spits out so much frames that your card will reach 80 to 90. If you watch XQC's OW streams, his GPU is maxing out at like 85 to 90. It's ridiculous.
