Which PSU to get?

CheekyBugger

Which one should i get of these five? I don´t really need 750 watts and won´t be likely to need it in the close future but the prices are similar enough that i added them too. Which one of these have the best features/ value/ warranty etc? I don´t exactly know what to look for.

Between the 650W units, RMx.

Between the 750W units, it's kind of a wash. The GX might be slightly ahead in terms of performance, but the RM will be quieter.

I'd probably pick the RM between the two, but they're both fine.

Could you explain the difference, and why the corsairs are preferable?

The Focus GX is good, just pretty loud at high loads.

The RM is a downgraded RMx, with its cheaper Hong Hua fan and cheaper caps used throughout, though Corsair still has enough confidence behind those components to keep the 10 year warranty of the RMx.

The RMx - very solid performance, very quiet, nothing much to say really. Funnily enough though, the RMx lacks support for Windows 10's Modern Standby, while the RM does support it.

At least that's the case until the RMx v3(?) comes out.

Ok. So between the Corsair RM650X V2 650W and the Seasonic Focus GX 750W, doesn´t the seasonic make more sense since the hardware is the same quality, the price is the same and it´s 100W more so the fans won´t kick in as often? According to a wattage calculator my wattage will be under 500W

The fan ramps up and down according to temperature, not load percentage.
