Posted September 16, 2020 Hi guys, I am building my first ever pc and I have seem to followed all of the directions and steps to building it. When I built it and tried to boot it up I turned on the power supply and the motherboard light turned amber. It stayed amber and the PC would not boot up. Please help! Parts: motherboard: Asus Prime H310M-Er2.0 CPU: Intel i5 7700k GPU: MSI 1060 Ram: 2x 8gb Oloy Storage: Seagate Barracuda 2tb PSU: Thermaltake Smart Series 500w Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options... Posted September 16, 2020 Author Random question: how do u check the generation of the processor. Is it if it’s an intel i5 8400k it means it’s 8th gen because of the 8? Or something else.
