Trying to get a bootcamp running on a USB on a macbook pro

It seems that apple has removed some of the options that let me easily put a running run a copy of windows of a USB drive on a mac. What is a working method nowadays?

Specs: Motherboard: Asus X470-PLUS TUF gaming (Yes I know it's poor but I wasn't informed) RAM: Corsair VENGEANCE® LPX DDR4 3200Mhz CL16-18-18-36 2x8GB

            CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X          Case: Antec P8     PSU: Corsair RM850x                        Cooler: Antec K240 with two Noctura Industrial PPC 3000 PWM

            Drives: Samsung 970 EVO plus 250GB, Micron 1100 2TB, Seagate ST4000DM000/1F2168 GPU: EVGA RTX 2080 ti Black edition

You should be able to make on on a pc using rufus and boot from it, ive done that befre.

No, I need to get windows 10 to be installed on a USB drive and get a mac to work with it.

My ubuntu/windows dual boot USB key works fine on my macbook, just had to use an external mouse and keyboard to start the install of the bootcamp drivers.

Made the Windows part of it with WinToUSB.
