new motherboard and cpu

Hi everyone, i am upgrading my pc and need some help.

I have a rtx 2060 6gb and have bought a 144hz 1440p monitor and need a new motherboard and cpu.

I'm not sure if to wait for 4th gen ryzen or not. Will b550 support 3rd and 4th gen?

if so, i might buy a b550 motherboard and buy a ryzen 5 3600 then upgrade to 4th generation in a year or so

Yes b550 can support zen 3 with a bios update, zen 4 will be on a new socket though.

Budget for a board? and you could just wait for zen 3 now.

Yeah i'll wait i thought it was going to be released much later than October!

I was hoping to spending around £130 - i'm not bothered about RGB, having 2 m.2 slots would be nice

my case is Phanteks Eclipse P300 ATX

Yea then wait and check what it has to offer and buy a board then and not now.

But the b550 a pro is around 130ish pounds and is pretty decent (5 phase with 10 4C029N and 10 4C024N) and is an over all good board.
