what's the difference F or CFL

ok this is probably a daft question but it is a follow up to some recommendations i got for upgrading my system. I was recommended to look at ani7 9700. So i had a look at prices online and found 3 versions of the CPU at around the same price.

9700k

9700CFL

9700F

Now i know the K is overclockable but nether my board or skill level are suitable for that but can someone tell me the difference between the F and CFL as the product descriptions seemed to be the same?

CFL isn't an Intel acronym... there are only 'officially' four i7-9700 SKU's:

 

9700K

9700KF

9700F

9700

 

K - unlocked; F - no iGPU.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

CFL is not a different version of the cpu. As far as I can tell, it is a 9700 with a different name in the title. My guess is that it stands for Coffe Lake. 

I am far from an expert in this so please correct me if I’m wrong.

Thanks that clears things up. Just by the price differentials i'm betting the one listed as CFL is the 9700 as the F is about £20 cheaper and the K is £20 more expensive.
