Gaming Laptop recommendations - $700 budget

Charix

I'm in the market for a new gaming laptop. Here's what I want:

  • ~15 inch screen
  • GTX 1660 would be nice, but 1650 is okay
  • i5 or R5/better
  • RAM and storage doesnt matter as long as there's expansion slots (Already have 16gb of laptop memory)

Right now, the best option I can find is this laptop from Acer. Ideally I'd like to find better graphics, but that's probably not possible with this budget. What are your thoughts on the computer I linked?

Does it need to be a laptop? I'm asking because you can get twice the power out of a desktop for the same budget. Consider whether you actually are going to move it around constantly. For instance say you spend the weekend at a different house, I'd consider that a scenario where the portability is worth something.

If you do need the laptop, finding models is a bit tricky but doable :)

We have a NEW and GLORIOUSER-ER-ER PSU Tier List Now. (dammit @LukeSavenije stop coming up with new ones)

You can check out the old one that gave joy to so many across the land here

Trust me haha, I wish I didn't need a laptop since I could totally see myself getting a nice computer with a 3600 and 1660 ti, but I do need a laptop since although I'll be using it at home a lot, I also go to friends houses sometimes and carrying a desktop and monitor with me isn't ideal.

What are your thoughts on the laptop I linked to in my original post?
