I enabled all my cpu cores on msconfig, turned off vsync and gpu debugging, also capped my fps at 120 the game runs better but fortnite still has optimization problems

not an upgrade but I recently started playing fortnite and noticed how bad it runs.

I would look into temps using something like HWMontior64, see if you have thermal throttling issues. Make sure all drivers for the GPU are up to date. Go from there. Something is causing an issue that is negatively impacting gaming performance.

Fortnite has bad frame drops right now. Has nothing to do with your specs. All systems are experiencing it, not just yours.

 

I have a 1080 Ti = same frame drops

My friend has a 1660 Super = same frame drops

My other friend has a 1050 Ti = same frame drops

My brother on console = same frame drops

 

Let me guess, REALLY bad frames on the S.H.E.I.L.D Helicarrier, followed by very marginally better frames on-land?

yeah I think the game is so poorly optimized, well I'll be upgrading my gpu to a 3080 when they come out

I turned off v sync and made my fps cap at 120 it runs better but still get fps drops below 60, at this point it's the game I believe

Okay that makes sense, I would remove anything that caps FPS though.
