Nvidia rtx 3000 SLI Support

Short question : Does the new rtx 3000 Series support SLI?

Until now , i haven't found any information about it , and would it be worth it to buy two 3080 to get the maximum performance while gaming?

Only 3090. Good thing, since multiGPUs only ever made sense when there's no better GPU you can get with a single card already.

Multi GPU/SLI is dead. Only heavy duty workstations really need dual GPUs these days. Plus most games don't support Multi GPU anymore, none of the AAA titles releasing so far this year and the beginning of next have it either. The 3090 is the only one out of the gaming lineup mainly because it's general use will likely be more workstation oriented. As for anything less than the 3090 I doubt we'll be seeing NVLink.

I’d still like an answer to this. It’s not about the slight difference in performance to me, I care more about having more ports for more monitors. Which 3000-series cards support SLI? I can’t find where I’d put the bridge on photos of the 3090.

You don't need SLI to run multiple monitors. You don't need a 3090 either. Any video card will get you more ports.

 

The 3090 is the only current card that supports SLI. But it only works in 14 games. It is not the same SLI as previous generations. The cards usually have a cover over the SLI connector. You can see it here.
