FAKE headset

sorry to bother u guys, i have question here. I just bought a new Siberia v2 Navi edition. However after unboxing it i saw there is no navi logo on both earcup. There is only 1 logo which is on the headband. Besides the colour is not yellow as i expected. The navi colour in Bright yellow..but not mine headset.. so here the problem..is it my headset is a fake one?

no..bought from retail reseller in Malaysia..i made a survey regarding the price..the different of the price is rm60 @ 20usd

most of the stuff sold in malaysia is fake they just draw tourists in and sell stuff that looks like the real thing a super low price

$20 eh? I suspect it's fake... Contacting Steelseries would be one way to know for sure, and maybe you could prevent others from being scammed by that reseller in the future.

wow linus!! haha..anyway its not 20$.. the headset price is 20$ price different from the retail price. i bought it at RM365 which around 120$

for navi edition, navi logo should on headband and another 2 logo should in the speaker..

So I see you are Malaysian too, where did you live? I would suggest you buy stuff form ALL IT next time. Their stuffs are sold at a reasonable price and off course, they are real. If you are live in KL, "Gamer's hideout" is not a bad choice, the employees are gamers and they have good customer service. Which retailer you buy the headset form? I can warn my friend to prevent them form being scammed. And in Malaysia, unless it's a PC fair or sales promotion, the stuff is rm 70~100(20$) cheaper than original price is usually fake one. Or something close to that. The discount price I get is mostly RM10~30( 3~8$). So, it's high likely it's a rip off of Steel series form China with decent quality yet not close to the original one.

bro..i bought from dotatech..they are authorized reseller..im staying in melaka which too far from gamer hideout, i visited ALL IT melaka, their price quite high and fyi, their headset same as mine. No navi logo on both speaker and colour quite pale yellow

Dotatech, erm, never heard of it. I see they sell stuffs with much cheaper price. Well, that's unfortunate, ALL IT in KL sells stuff with original price, maybe you can send it back and see if they exchange a new one to you, you should bring some pictures with you to prove it's a fake one, you are a customer after-all. The other retailer I trust is JAYACOM. Not sure if that locate in Melaka, I get the Quickfire tk with RM 300( 90 $) while others sell it for 100~105$. Their stuffs are quite cheap as well.

You can ask Steelseries' customer support. Give them the part number and serial number and ask if you got a legit one because of (reasons).

Try adding photos too.

 

Who knows, they might even ship a real one if what you got was fake!
