TROJAN HELP!

Ok so not sure if its the right topic but anyways.

I was just surfing the web as i do when i clicked on a post which i thought was legit.

Anyways it was the metropolitan police virus asking for £100 or they will lock your computer, i no its fake but it didn't allow be to exit out so i closed all tabs and quickly ran malwarebytes pro full scan and no viruses where found.

So is my pc secure or what else should i do. I was thinking of a system restore but cba yet as my pc seems fine.

if you left the web page and mbam doesn't pick up any viruses you should be fine.

If you want to be extra cautious, download spybot and update it, then boot into safe mode without networking. Full scan with mbam then do spybot. If both scans come up negative run the immunization on spybot, boot up normally and continue your day.

There's a lot of those bs websites out there, I wouldn't worry much about it but I'd follow what @helping said.

Was it just a pop-up? I wouldn't worry about it unless you start seeing signs that your computer is actually infected.
