long time ago my gpu was damaged while i was playing minecraft. My pc was a custom build a month old. The gpu that was damaged is GTX1070. I have a theory that when i was playing Minecraft with the shaders, it might have caused my gpu to somehow damage. Could it be possible for the gpu to get damaged by the extreme usage ?

If the videocard wasn't fit to be used at 100%, it is not in good working order.

Use your warranty, if available.

the pc did not come in one peice. i bought seperate parts from the guy face to face and he assembled it for me. The last time i checked the temps where 80c while playing gta 5 online. the card was bought during a clearace sale. among the other products for the pc the gpu had the shortest warrenty period. Full of excitement i didn't notice and the guy who sold me the pc didn't warn me about it.

the GPU card showed no sign of damage, no fire, smoke or anything. just the pc suddenly shuts down and when i press the power button it doesn't wake up. when i bought it back to the guy who sold me this he said the the gpu was damaged and when he took out the gpu from the slot she was back to life.

Was the GPU new? If it was used, that would explain a shortened warranty period.

You mean your pc turned on or the gpu worked?

If the gpu worked, it's probably a bad PSU

no, when i asked him if it was used or new, he said new, it even had the satisfying plastic stips over it. I remeber how i took it out it was smooth af and the smell of the GPU was amazing as well. I can confirm u that it was new but it was bought from a clearance sale. I feel like the clearance products are not good, is it true?

no when he took out the gpu the pc was back to life. he pressed the on button and everything went great.

Could still mean the power supply was not up to par and couldn't provide enough power to power the video card and the rest of the computer
