Hey! i need some help. About 3 months ago when i was watching some youtube my screen randomly froze and my pc made a lot of sound and decided to restart it self, but it worked perfectly after the restart. The thing is this has happen to me a lot more recently, and I'm worried about my computer! I researched a bit and thought it was something wrong about my powersaving options, but even after i tried to do some changes it still happened. Just some side notes... my pc usually works perfectly exept for when its crashing and it works perfectly even when im running heavy graphic demanding games. I need some advice. Is it my psu? Is it my powersaving options? Can i do something to find the issue?

GPU: Rtx 2070 ventus 8gb

CPU: Intelcore I-79700k

Was the sound coming from the speakers, or the PC itself?

First thing I can think of off the top of my head would be to check and make sure you have the latest CPU and GPU drivers. How often is this happening, and are you getting any blue screens when the PC crashes, or does it just freeze up and then black screen?

I mostly speak from my own past experience from similar problems. My solution may not work for you, but I'll always try my best to help as much as I can. If you want me to see your reply, make sure to quote my comment or mention me @WaggishOhio383, and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Hey @WaggishOhio383 thanks for answering! the sound comes from the pc itself. My drivers are up to date. it happens about every 3rd day. When my screen Freezes it turns black after a little while. Do you have eny idea how i can find out what the issue is or what i can do to fix it?!

Sound coming from the PC itself leads me to think it could be a hardware issue, and not a software issue. Can you tell what component it sounds like the sound is coming from (GPU, CPU, RAM, etc.)?

Also, have you overclocked anything on the PC or changed any of your RAM settings from XMP?

Edit: You aren't noticing any abnormal temps either are you? Especially at the time that the freezes are occurring

hey @WaggishOhio383 thank you again for answering. I also believe it is a hardware issue, but i can't tell you what the sound "sounds" like because i have never really thought about it and it happens verry quickly and unexpectedly, but i will try to listen next time to find out what it sounds like. I have not overclocked enything or changed enything at all. I dont know about the temperature but i will check it when it happens next time. thanks for all the help. I will try to find out about the temperature and the sound. I would be really happy to get some more help later since im not relly good with pc stuff. thank you again and sorry for my bad english.
