1440p 144hz budget build

Lamaj4Lif3

Budget (including currency): $1500 max

Country: USA

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Rainbow Six Siege, Battlefield V

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): I have no parts currently other than a $ 30 razer mouse I use for my laptop  Would like rgb but not needed. I want 1440p & 144hz.  If possible we can go cheaper than $1500 thatd be great. But I can understand if that cannot work.

I do need a monitor keyboard as well. I have been thinking about waiting for zen 3. But I am also trying to do a build for my younger brother & he honestly doesn't care about that.

remember to quote or mention so that we will get notified of your reply

i see, you might want to wait for ampere though considering nvidia is holding an event on september 1st, so definitely watch out for that

for the time being here is what i have come up with

left a bit for the keyboard, you might want to create a separate thread for that in the peripherals subforum for better answers.

Understand able. Thank you for the info. With this build would it be safe to say I could run a consistent 144 fps with no issues? Also, how much of a difference in performance x570 vs b550?

you might struggle on 1440p high, though toning down the settings would help with that, the board wouldnt affect performance for the most part.

the 2070 super should work well at 1440p. should reach 144fps in esports and 60-90fps in AAA titles.

The new nvidia card they releas in 2 weeks should be even better.

no performance difference between x570 and b550, unless you want 2 pcie gen 4 ssds
