Getting bad performance and gpu usage RTX 2080S

Im having a rly bad gpu usage in many games with the rtx 2080s in 1080 resolution
i get like 40 fps on anno 1800 with 50/60% gpu used some times less
same for microsoft flight simulator 
red dead redemption 2 on max settings i get constant 60 fps with vsync, gpu usage from 80% to 91%
i have a decent cpu , Rysen 5 3600.
my cpu dont get near 100% use in this games.
Whats going on.

We call that bad optimization. Quite common among ubisoft games.

try turning of the ray tracing {RTX}

That is how vsync is supposed to work.

Also check individual core usage. The games may only efficiently use 1 or a few cores, so the CPU as a whole will never be under 100% load, but a single core or two may be pegged at 100%.

Im not complaining about that, i know how vsync works, im saing red dead is rly using my gpu potential, and flight simulator is using 50% and getting 45/ 30 fps

Sounds like the other games are CPU-bound/poorly optimized. Check CPU utilization including single-core utilization. Reduce graphics settings that load the CPU more than the GPU. You'll have to look around for each specific game to find out what settings to change..

FS is also CPU heavy and from what I see fast single core perf is important.

Youre using a 2080 super at 1080p, it’s not going to push itself very hard unless the games you are playing are extremely GPU demanding. Hell, my 5700 rarely sees high usage at 1080p
