Grammar Nazi:

Generally speaking:

Usually in the middle of a informal conversation,

-Makes a comment on your grammar instead of adding a lucrative progress to the conversation.

-Does nt understand someting because he is a robot.

-Suffers in the known presence of imperfect grammar.

I don't mind them. I think a lot of people really need to have better language skills. It's a pretty basic thing to learn.

Well it depends. If they are annoying or in your face about it then that is not okay. However I find Grammar Nazis like that are also in your face about everything so it is not a trait that is one in the same with being a grammar freak. So I don't really have a problem with obsession with grammar in and of itself.

Not many people have gone as in depth to the English language as I have, all the varieties and dialects... I hate it, but I try bit to be too much of a grammar Nazi, although I definitely am

I'd make a useful reply to this, but I'm afraid of being grammar nazi'd.

jk I don't like people correcting my grammar if it's something that doesn't really matter like missing a letter in a word or double letters etc. but if it's for spelling a word wrong or using it wrong...ly? then I appreciate the help as long as they're not being a dick/nazi about it.

I do feel compelled to correct people who write 'your' instead of 'you're', however I'm not anywhere near picky enough to be considered a grammar nazi.

I do not mind grammar nazis as long as they are correct, as a matter of fact I think they have a very hard job at hand as the standard of English on the internet leaves a lot to be desired sometimes.

I don't qualify to be a grammar nazi because my grammar isn't perfect.

HOWEVER, absolutely nothing in the whole grammar nazi sphere even comes close to the satisfaction I get from having the opportunity to correct a grammar nazi who has made a grammatical mistake when correcting somebody else, such an opportunity is rare and delicious, and a reply from said nazi rarer still.

ur shortcuts both.

Im lead to believe the off-topic is infested. Hopefully it doesn't go through the same levels across the forum and , hopefully not this world. I had right to do this poll, it actually suprised me.

Altough not for 1 idiot whom I have seen before.

I try not to correct, because I know it's completely annoying. But the reverse is also true. I find it completely annoying when someone uses the wrong word, because it has the wrong meaning. People normally reply "you get what I mean", but that's not the point in my opinion. Especially when someone uses the word "loose" as in a loose knot, for lose as in to lose a game or an object.

'your kind'.... I was only doing that because of this thread, don't classify people before you get to know them.

I didn't mean it like that lol, no need to be defensive.

I am absolutely fine with people cleaning up/fixing up other people's grammar. However, some people can be really sarcastic/acidic when they are doing that.

Edit: especially when I see sh*t like  "you can't even use English properly harharhar you dipsh*t" kind of comment, I want to end the commenter's life.
