What's the point of ASUS's TUF Gaming motherboards?

AFAIK, they don't carry an extra warrranty, or are built any better than their other boards, like the TUF series used to be.

Is ASUS just milking the TUF brand, or is there something else they have unique going for them?

i would say tuf motherboards are not worth it unless you are getting a specific cpu and it only supports the tuf motherboard or you want extra ports or m2 slots for storage. but in overclocking they can help you a lot as they are oc compatible

YES, I RUN RAID 1 OVER RAID 0

It's just branding, kind of like rog, but generally goes for cheaper and it has a certain type of looks.

It isn't special, it's just a line up of products that are branded as TUF and have a certain type of looks.

But just like any brand, look at the product and not the brand. There are some horrendous TUF products and there are some that are really good.

Feel like all the motherboard manufacturers should really unify their naming conventions. I mean all these TUF/Plus/Pro/Strix are really just adding to the confusion, an extra burden to do research on before buying.

Not to mention all those different names in the BIOS across brands.

I mean every brand has dumb naming schemes that are confusing really.. but yea these don't mean anything really, look at the product and the branding for it.

This is just not a thing. There are no CPUs that only work on a specific subbrand of ASUS motherboards. Not sure where you could have gotten that impression...

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Although if we're going to trash marketing, I suppose XFX needs to be mentioned here.
