Transporting PC with Noctua NH-C14s

Hello,

 

I am driving back to college later this week and I was wondering if it was safe to leave my NH-C14s installed in my PC. I will obviously be removing my GPU however I am unsure if I need to remove my C14s as well. Any advice regarding transporting this cooler / other large air coolers is much appreciated.

I always go for the better safe than sorry approach, I have transported computers with tower coolers like the hyper 212 evo and not had any issues, however I went maybe 15 miles at most with them. It would probably be fine but personally I would remove it if you are traveling a longer distance

I'd take it off. The NH-C14S has a wonky weight distribution, and unmounting it is easy as pie anyway.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

I've had my PC shipped with a D14 on with no issues. Definitely remove the GPU though.

You could lay it on the side... I have U14S and PC has fallen and even dropped short distance once. You've need to have very bumpy ride to cause any harm. Though if you are shipping it, then sure.
