gpu boiling at 84c

so i loaded up fortnite to see performance and temps are here are the results:

with my 10600k and 2080 aorus

i got 300+ fps with those settings:

view distance: epic

shadows: off

anti aliasing: high

textures: low

effects: medium

post processing: epic

my 2080 was around at 90-100% which is completely normal and my 10600k was at 40-50%.

gpu is boiling at 84c (even thou after burner has an 83c limit and i have a custom fan curve) with fans at 100% but its not down clocking at all, memory is at 7000mhz and core is at around 1950-1990mhz

cpu is chilling between 53-57c

i have the corsair 275r airflow with my h100x rad pulling fresh cold air in and 2 exhausts, one at the rear and one at the top. the case came with 3 fans but i only have 3 plugs on my motherboard so im planning on getting a splitter.

do you think that with one more exhaust the temps will drop?

is that normal?

i know that this game is trash but i didnt realize how much it requires from the pc until now

the h100x is installed in a way that the rad is first and then i have the fans so the rad is facing the front and the fans are facing the interior.

the room temp is around 27-28c without ac since i have another computer at the other side of my desk

Sounds pretty normal for 28°C ambient temp.

No shadows helps as characters pop out more

Do your temperatures improve at all if you improve the side panel? 

Try mounting the H100's radiator in the top as exhaust, and then two intakes in the front. 

And it's not "boiling" at 84C btw, it's still a safe temperature for a 2080.

At 300+fps then yeah, of course its going to hammer the GPU.

If its sucking air through the rad first then naturally its NOT getting fresh cool air to the GPU, especially with ambient at 28C to begin with.

For optimum GPU cooling you really want the radiator at the top so its not heating the air up as it comes into the case.

My 2080 is not going above about 76C with a blower cooler at 60% fan speed at 2010Mhz and a 9900K with a Noctua NH-D15, as its blowing straight out of the case with two intake fans.

Granted, I haven't tried it with Fortnite or at insane frame rates, but I do push for 4K 60fps in the games I play.

by doing that ill have 3 exhausts and only 1 intake since i dont have another fan header on my motherboard and i dont want to remove the back exhaust

Why would you need a back exhaust if you have two fans exhausting out the top?

For 100% fan speed?  I only experienced that sort of temp on my blower card (far less efficient cooling) when it was in an ITX case where the intake fans just couldn't pull enough air in, and it was still overclocked at the time.

When I moved back to a full ATX the temps dropped 20C at 100% fan speed.
