Upgrade to a new gpu help

I was going to upgrade from my 1060 3gb to a 5700xt but....... the new amd cards are coming "soon". So my question is would it be worth to upgrade now? or later? I have a really bad " if I want it I will find excuses to buy it" habit. I just don't want to buy a 5700xt now and then regret it in like 2 months because there will be card that will be much better (I'm assuming) for the same price.

if you have the time to wait, then waiting is a the better decision.

With both Nvidia and AMD gearing up to release new generations of GPUs purchasing one now would be a mistake.

but price trend from gtx10xx to rtx20xx....
