have you ever turned off your computer

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

I've closed all I can there. The stuff there adds up to roughly 4-5Gb.

It doesn't matter. Windows will often cache stuff in RAM and leave DLLs and such loaded, to optimize opening and running applications. If you actually need the RAM, though, this stuff will be evicted to make room.

As long as you're under your total amount of RAM, you're good. Stop worrying about it.

This is a bit excessive though, I have two systems with 16 GB RAM and have never seen them use even nearly this much.

PC SPECS: CPU: Intel Core i7 3770k @4.4GHz - Mobo: Asrock Extreme 4 (Z77) - GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 680 Twin Frozr 2GB - RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2x4GB (8GB) 1600MHz CL8 + 1x8GB - Storage: SSD: Sandisk Extreme II 120GB. HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB - PSU: be quiet! Pure Power L8 630W semi modular  - Case: Corsair Obsidian 450D  - OS: Windows 7

Idk. Whenever I play a demanding game it's not very playable. My cpu and gpu are fine.
