LED vs IPS monitor for photo editing

David Os

So i spend my shekels recently on a cheap monitor for doing some web photo editing, my budget is not big at all for this investment, and i ended up buying a 21.5 Janus LED Monitor with weird color display, poor saturation, magenta and contrast. Vendor said it is IPS but it is not specified anywhere in the box or the internet, it just says "LED", im thinking about selling it and buy a better IPS panel at almost the same budget, aiming for the LG 22MN430H-B, which is the only one available in my country with those nice specs (75hz, freesync, IPS, 5ms, cheap) or the Samsung S22F350FHL (but some sites say its Tn instead of IPS... and im not interested in any TN panel at all)

Anyone can tell me what the difference is between my current weird looking LED "Janus" monitor and the LG or Samsung im interested in? or if i will see any advantages switching my monitors given the low budget?

Im not looking for a perfect professional monitor on my photo work, just something with decent colors and contrast on it. Thanks

All LCDs are LED back/edge lit nowadays, all LCDs are either IPS, VA or TN.
