Hello,

I started my computer today, the computer turned on, but the monitor had a blank screen with a no video message and the keyboard lights didn't turn on. It didn't turn off by pushing the power button and had to turn off the power supply switch to turn the computer off. I turned it on again, same thing. Then I I disconnected and connected again my USB devices with the computer on and with that the computer turned on itself.

Do you think this may be a sign of a bad power supply or what could be in your experience?

Thanks.

Yes, it works fine now. It’s not the first time it happens, the computer has been booting fine for a month or more  until now.

 Thanks for the reply.

Doesn't sound like a PSU problem but you could test it by tossing a spare in there if you have one.

A failure to POST is usually cause by any of the core components. GPU/Motherboard/RAM, CPU isn't usually the culprit but unstable overclcoks can cause this type of issue too.

When it happens have you ever tried resetting CMOS?

Hi,

When I cleared the BIOS the values reset as expected, but sometimes it took two restarts to take effect, I think this happens with AMD CPU'S, correct me if wrong. The only thing could be that I have the XMP profile 1, which is the same as XMP 2. The cpu runs between 3.6 and 4.3 Ghz and the memory is running at 3200 Mhz.

Thanks for the reply.
