Or as I like to call it, "I probably will never need this kind of power, but I'm going to get it anyway."

CPU: Ryzen 9 3900x

A beast of a processor that doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get. I'm still missing my left leg though.

Motherboard: Asus TUF X570 Plus WiFi

Honestly, I wanted the X570 Tomahawk, but it didn't work out. That being said, this board is cheaper than some B550 boards (though I got it before B550 came out), and the VRMs are good, and it comes with built in WiFi. The chipset fan is always spinning, but I never hear it. Great job on that fan placement there Asus.

Oh and the BIOS' mouse support is garbage. Oh well. Still a great board though.

Case: Phanteks P400a

It's a decent case, though I can safely say that the quality of the metal is worse than my old Corsair 200R. The only other complaint is that I have the fan controller cables dangling in the back because you can't remove them.

CPU Cooler: Be Quiet! Dark Rock Pro 4.

Yes, I can confirm that the Dark Rock Pro 4 can in fact fit in the P400a without touching the glass. Good thing too, as this beast of a cooler lives up to it's name while still being able to tame the 3900x on load.

Case Fans: 4x Be Quiet! Pure Wings 2 120mm PWM High Speed

No idea why the High Speed versions of the Pure Wings 2 are cheaper than the regular version, but I'm not complaining, as these things are only slightly more expensive than Artic Fans, and even under a full load, they're not much louder than a Desk Fan running at high.

Ram: Crucial Ballistix 16 GB DDR4-3600 CL16

Quality Ram with a relatively low latency at a good price. It's rock-stable at the rated frequency when I used Asus' D.O.C.P.

GPU: Powercolor Red Devil RX 5700XT

A beast of a card. The only driver issue I ran into was in Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition, where the floor in battles would sometimes turn black, but using DXVK fixed that.

Storage: Corsair MP600 Force Series Gen4 1 TB

Did I need this? Absolutely not. But it's only $30 more than a Samsung drive, and my board has Gen 4 support so I thought, "Why not?"

Storage: Mushkin PILOT 2 TB

Because I didn't want to deal with the mess of SATA power and connector cables, I opted for a second M.2 drive, and this thing offers you TLC memory with DRAM at a price cheaper than most QLC drives.

Power Supply: Antec High Current Gamer Gold 850 W 80+ Gold

Literally one of the only power supplies available at the time I bought it, but it works well. The cables are super thicc though, so that's fantastic for cable management.

Sorry for the bad picture, the lighting in my room is kinda dark and so are my PC parts.

Also no RGB because I don't want my PC to look like a lazer light show.

eventually you will need it (once computers are much faster then they are today and tasks require more power).

Nice cable management (I didn't try on mine so your is better).

Black on black, love it. That actually looks oddly similar to my rig, so this makes me wonder whether I should also show it off 🤔

Paint your GPU PCB black with a sharpie or paint pen for extra black-ness.
