Hello, ive had a 1tb HDD storage device for long now and the speed is at 36 mb/s so i bought a new drive and that ended in a m.2 ssd with about 4950mb/s ,i also had to get a adapter because i did not have a slot in my motherboard, so now when ive done that it all worked fine and i have windows installed on it, but i cant find it in the bios to boot the windows with it, ive tryed everything and the bios i have is Asus and the version of this bios is 2.10.1208.

Is there anyone out there that can help me so that i can bot windows on it.

You may not be able to boot from an m.2 in an adapter, unless your mobo is very new

What motherboard do you have? As @Radium_Angel said, you need to have a fairly recent motherboard to boot from NVMe.

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Linux - Fedora

So you are also getting a new CPU?

Yeah too old, sorry bud, you'll need a newer system to fully be able to boot to an m.2 drive

Some LGA 1150 boards did get patched for NVMe later in life, but this is definitely not one of them.

Main: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D, Nvidia GTX 1080 Ti, 16 GB 4400 MHz DDR4 Linux - Fedora

Given the age of that board, that's some impressive manuf support

A family member of mine had an ASUS Z97-C for a bit. It got patched in for BIOS 2404, so speaking from experience.

Is that a must? or can i use my cpu that i have? its i7 4700?

Yes since am4 socket doesn’tmatch in any ways with the 1150 socket you must get a ryzen cpu to use that board
