I personally am not a fan of Adata XPG v2's at all. They have awful timings at high speeds. 11-13-13-35 (2400MHz)... Is that a joke? :P

The Vengeance Pros are alright as far as timings go. Not the best, but not the worst. 9-11-11-31 (2400MHz)

As for the HyperX beast, they'd probably not be what I recommend. At higher speeds they have 11-12-11 timings which are run of the mill/bottom of the pack at 2133Mhz (They don't have specs for 2400MHz)

All in all, go for the Vengeance Pros if this was a head-to-head battle.

Gskill makes some of the faster \ affordable kits

I recommend hyperx because kingston has been in the memory game for a long time and i really enjoy supporting such a good company.

1. Corsair

2. Adata

3. Kingston

In that order because I personally have Corsair (which doesn't mean anything). Heard good stuff about Adata and some about Kingston

The only things you should look for in RAM is

1) Looks (whatever color to match your computer).

2) Speed (1333/1600/1866/etc)

3) Timing (lower the better)

4) Voltage (lower the better)

There are rare exceptions when a company comes out with a model that defies all odds in the PC enthusiast world.

Like this RAM

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147096&nm_mc=AFC-C8Junction&cm_mmc=AFC-C8Junction-_-na-_-na-_-na&cm_sp=&AID=10446076&PID=6146846&SID=136w6w7tswbcw

They are no where to be found anymore, but that set was rated at 1600 but was able to overclock to 2400 with ease. Doesn't seem like Samsung realized how high quality their RAM was because it was sold extremely cheap. It's one of those "legendary" PC underground world products.

I compare:-

1. Speed and timings (1866MHz CL11 has no advantage over 1600MHz CL9, seriously...)

2. Aesthetics...

Even though there are times I've touched my Kingston HyperX and it is actually hotter than expected, but I don't care...i just dont see how it actually can overheat and burn...

The top corsair line, currently dominator platinum, as long as its in budget. Otherwise ill likely reuse ram or grab a cheap set of just enough size to hold me over until I can afford it. Otherwise ill grab the stuff that is the best fit for the build at the time. At the moment im really liking Crucial Ballistx Tactical since its low profile, real low profile not what corsair and other brands call their standard ram, low voltage @ 1.35v, and has a relatively low cas @8. This is all well being 1600mhz which is the highest nitive supported speed by many currwnt and recent platforms.

G. Skill has proven to be the best for me in my AMD rigs. Corsair not so much.

I have had zero luck with gskill minus a set o laptop ram I got on black friday on year, that was good.

Can you elaborate?

Like just bad ram coming, dieing after time, bad coming from rma, and sticks not beimg able to run at rated. I have had this with corsaor and other brads but not nearly as much and I use them more often. The cheap 1333 8gb laptop ram worked as it should though.
