Ryzen Upgrade - Now or Later

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: After Affects, Premiere, Audition, Illustrator for Programs. I play a lot of Overwatch and some VR games occasionally 

 

I have recently started to get back into making animated videos and plan on doing some freelance stuff as well once I shake the rust off. I've been doing some work in After Affects and my current PC is struggling to keep up. I've been considering upgrade to a Ryzen 9 set up but I'm wondering if it's better to wait until the 4000 series chips launch. Same thing with NVIDA's next gen graphics cards.

Here is my current build:

Intel i5 - 7600K
GTX 1080
16GB of RAM

 

Here is what I've been looking to upgrade to:

AMD Ryzen 9 3900X
Asus ROG Strix X570-E
EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Super XC Ultra Gaming,
Samsung 970 EVO Plus Series - 2Tb PCIe NVMe (This is on-sale so I figured I would buy it)
