Need advice on GPU choice

I would stick with pascal.

Don't only take my word for it.

What games do you play, and what GPU and PSU do you currently have? Also, what'd your budget be for the upgrade?

I tried a 2070 with my parents 4770 pc as an upgrade to do vr and it was massively cpu throttled not sure about the k versoin of cpu. I was getting around 200fps on siege custom settings 1080p. We then built a ryzen 3600 rig as we realised it was not performing well as i was getting weird frames in other games and it performed around 300fps with same settings. There will be cpu throttling probably but without testing it on an overclocked 4770k like yours i wouldn;t know for certain but I would imagine so especially with ddr3 ram
