Rear panel sound jack not working on my motherboard.

Hi, i have a Creative INSPIRE T6160 5.1 Surround speaker and i have never been able to get it to work on my system, i have been trying to plug it into the Rear panel sound jack on my motherboard (ASUS P8Z68-V PRO GEN3) and i cannot seem to get it to play any audio at all, i had this problem when i initially built my system about 2 years ago and couldn't find a solution so i just bought a sound card and everything worked fine but when i got a second graphics card for SLI i no longer had space for the sound card so since then i have been using my Triton 720+ headset and i just really want to be able to use my speakers again without having to remove my graphics card to make space for the sound card which i still have lying about.

I have installed all the needed drivers from the asus website (i think) and when i open up Realtek HD audio manager it seems to recognize that the Orange, Black and Green connectors are plugged in because it lights up as shown in this image (http://i.imgur.com/nd3sOJc.png) also here is a image of them plugged into the rear panel (http://i.imgur.com/BxC6Cnc.jpg).

I'm not sure if i am missing any essential drivers for the speakers to work from the rear panel so i have print screened my device manager for anyone who needs to see it (http://i.imgur.com/75LIXzq.png).

I am not sure if it makes any difference but here are my specs (http://i.imgur.com/vOzKHjI.png)

Oh and of course i have the speakers set as the default device in Playback devices (http://i.imgur.com/Ev2GB5U.png)

i am sorry if i put any of this in the wrong category first time posting on the forum, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Does any other device work with the onboard sound?

No I've tried using my earphones with it before and they didn't work either.

Disable all other sound devices (right click > disable), and if that doesn't work I'm just gonna say your motherboard is broken.

Just did that, still not working, that sucks i wish i got it replaced the day that i built it, i'm guessing ASUS won't believe me if i said it was dead on arrival 2+ years later.

Yeah that doesn't sound right. (see what I did there? ;) ) I'd say RMA your motherboard if it's still under warranty. If not, get a usb sound card or external DAC/AMP.
