Depends on the game.

I have the RX580 and have no complaints but then again I only play old games.

Your CPU and slow, single-channel memory aren't doing you any favours.

What settings and resolution are you running the game at, and what do your CPU, RAM and GPU usage numbers look like while in-game?

You seriously paid $325 for a 570?  I bought my 580 for around $160 new.  Something ain’t right.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Your CPU's bottlenecking your GPU. And you're very likely also hitting the limit of 8GB of RAM.

Well if cpu is 100% you’re cpu bound.  More gpu won’t make things go faster because your cpu is maxed.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Try increasing the settings. Most likely you'll get pretty much the same performance.

How do I fix that for cheap?

For free - overclock. If your CPU cooler can handle it, of course.

For "cheap" - probably looking for a 1600AF or 3300X or something, and definitely throwing in an extra 8GB stick of memory. Or even something like a used 1600 with a slight overclock would be an improvement.

Also, definitely try saving up for a decent SSD.

Overclock your cpu.  May cause heat issues. You’re not using the gpu though which makes less heat and more junk to absorb and spread it so there will possibly be at least a little room on a stock cooler.  OCing is why aftermarket coolers happened.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

The I would get 60 FPS ? What does the bottleneck do that much?

I dunno.  Hard to predict.  Get something maybe.  A lot depends on silicon lottery.

As far as the bottleneck goes your cpu as it sits with the memory it has can only push your gpu to 60% apparently so you almost certainly won’t get the the top end of your gpu with a stock cooler overclock. Might make it to 65-70 percent use.  Or not.

Try overclocking. If you can't get a good enough performance to not bottleneck, from there get a 1600AF (12nm) and another stick of ram. Bottleneck means your CPU is holding back your GPU and vice versa. See how high you can go without overheating.

Getting 60 fps isn't guaranteed, how much more performance you can get is luck.

You have slow memory and only 1 stick. Also you could have got a 1600af for the same amount as the 3200g. I also recommend overclocking but if you reach the limit of your cpu your gpu can’t go as fast
