Nope just download the latest one.

Keep in mind some motherboard vendors will have specific requirements to update the BIOS. For example this board on the latest BIOS states:

Note: Before update BIOS to F40 or later version, make sure you have prior updated to F31.

With a bios update yes. Since the 1600 af is zen +. But most b350 boards probably already ship with the new bios.  If you don't already have this board. Just get a b450 pro 4 or a pro vdh max. And that should do the job.

PC: Motherboard: ASUS B550M TUF-Plus, CPU: Ryzen 3 3100, CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 34, GPU: GIGABYTE WindForce GTX1650S, RAM: HyperX Fury RGB 2x8GB 3200 CL16, Case, CoolerMaster MB311L ARGB, Boot Drive: 250GB MX500, Game Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200RPM HDD.

Peripherals: GK61 (Optical Gateron Red) with Mistel White/Orange keycaps, Logitech G102 (Purple), BitWit Ensemble Grey Deskpad.

Audio: Logitech G432, Moondrop Starfield, Mic: Razer Siren Mini (White).

Phone: Pixel 3a (Purple-ish).

You can just download F20 and install it right away.

But if you want to go further than that, it depends on which version you want to go to, as some specifically ask you to update to something else first.

If you want the newest BIOS version, you have to follow this specific order: current -> F31 -> F40 -> F50d
