It depends.

Its not a perticularly fast singletheaded CPU, but its decent enough to keep up.

Yes, it will bottleneck, with an 1600af I wouldn't go higher than the 2060 (non-super).

3600 is what you want, That one is fine alllll the way up to the 2080ti. (or damn close to that).

If you are stuck to a tight budget, get the 3300x.

If you want my attention, quote meh! D: or just stick an @samcool55 in your post :3

If you need something cheaper, a 3300X would be better, but finding one in stock for $120ish would be quite an achievement

Nah, it's fine for 99% of games. Especially with a mild overclock.

your gonna lose some fps though that those cards are capeable of.
tombraider on a 2070s with that cpu and compared to others from amd. including 3600:

(accidentally screenshotted the wrong slide (medium quality) now its accurate)

here is the 10600k however on the same game. clearly showing that the 2070s has more fps that you just wont get with a 1600af.

my opinion? if you want to go amd. do not and i repeat do not go any lower than the 3600. dont even bother. it is so cheap to get these days just save a bit more. get the max possible fps with those gpus as you can get. dont let performance left on the table. BUT you can use it. there is nothing wrong with it. my personal opinion tho is just dont bother if your gonna pair it with such a good gpu. the only reason i have a 2600x is because i had it before i got my 2070 super. and am planning on replacing it this year with ryzen 4000.

3600. if you want to buy now. 3300x is good and all but 4 cores 8 threads aint gonna last long when consoles are out and games will be produced with them in mind aka using more cores and more threads. also, since you want to stream and content create it would generally be the better option. well that or the 3700x but since that one is not in your budget reach i would go for the 3600.

heck you might get lucky and get a very new model from this year and have a 3600 that can hold all core oc of 4.4/4.5
