Can I run over 120fps on a 144hz monitor

Can you guys please help me. Idk if I should run over 120 FPS on a 144hz monitor, I don’t want to damage the monitor in anyway.

the monitor is a 144hz 3.1ms

Go to display settings and set it at 120fps. You won’t hurt the monitor 

No cpu mobo or ram atm

If the monitor is meant or advertised for 144hz then you shouldn't be able to damage it in any way by running it at 144hz.

you can whatever fps to the monitor, the monitor doesn't care. It will just refresh 144 times a second, no matter the fps you're using (unless it has GSync/Freesync, in which case it will match the Hz to the fps).
