Quick monitor question

Hey I just read that a human eye can’t see above like 60 hertz or something. I was then wondering what’s the point if the 144 and the 240 hertz monitors if a human eye can’t actually tell the difference?

You can see a difference, the human eye doesnt see in Hz, that argument has been debunked multiple times. You can even see tests done by LTT themselves which prove higher refresh rates matter

Not really as many people belive in this urban legend.

 

As someone who few years back went from 60hz to 144hz, the motion simply looks smoother and controls feel more responsive. Honestly, if you aren't competitive person who wants every little edge you can get, stick to the 60hz monitors.

60hz 4k monitor will last you longer than 144hz 1440p one, as GPU's still have problems to run most demanding games 60hz at 4k resolution.

I mean it seamed like it, because the way he worded it, like typed very basic question as it and got some random first answer he saw as conclusion. 

Really even scrolling is better at like 120Hz for example. 4K is a waste at 60Hz aside from some productivity work and such. 1440p 144Hz much better balance.

IMO I searched it up and it said humans can’t see past 60 hertz. I was then what do people with 144 monitors see different

Our eyes are not a camera, they don't see in Hz but perceive higher Hz and framerate as motion. Really anyone who uses 144Hz for example will notice difference, try it out.

Even if our eyes couldn't see more than 60hz it wouldn't matter. Because the monitor can show frames more frequently, moving objects will be smoother and your actions are being shown on the screen faster.

Ok thanks. I was just wondering because o wanted to get a new monitor and I was thinking about getting a 144 hertz one
