What are the keyboard-ish mouses called?

Sun Chariot

Hello, I’m into digital art and will buy a Cintiq soon. The problem is, their ‘express key’, a remote keypad, is unreasonably expensive and also unavailable in my country. I’ve seen people use mouses with many keys (not hotkeys, but those will do too) on the upper side much like a keyboard, they did not look like normal mouses as they actually didn’t seem to have m1 m2 and scroll. I can’t provide an image as I don’t know how yo find them. Does anybody know what those are called? And do you recommend any?

+ I just noticed after posting, they probably do have m1 and m2 as they are mouses, but I don’t remember seeing them where they usually are.

Ones like these?

Those are usually called RPG/MMO mice, pretty easy to search for.

Are you looking for for a mouse with many buttons (i.e. like the Razer Naga) or a mouse and keyboard built into each other (which is usually called an 'airmouse')?

Personally I would recommend the latter, or a simple small keyboard (which may prove to be more comfortable).

You can also find stand alone num pads

Silicone USB 18-Key Numeric Keypad/Numpad for Laptop ...

With the right software these can be mapped to anything.  If you want more macro/button knowledge, LTT's Taran has many videos on that

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

I googled airmouse but mostly tv remote controls showed up. I’ll buy a small keyboard like you said if I can’t find what I’m looking for. Thanks!

Oh so that’s he case haha. I saw it being used without a mouse to go with it so I just assumed it also functioned as a mouse. Thank you!

The thumb pad isnt a joystick unfortunately. you could set it up to control the cursor, but it would be rather od.
