dont get me wrong thats just a guess, it could be far cheaper than that. 

I dont need any other monitors (i already have 3 for which ever system i use, then sat in the loft as spares) so thought this might be a fun little addition.

its around 1.7 meters x 0.8 meters if i rememer correctly!

This is a very quick update!

 

first of all, A massive thanks to https://www.bellystockings.com  for sending me a LOAD of material!

 

as most of you guessed correctly, i will be making some nice fan filters with them.

 

As im now running out of time in getting this build into a usuable state though, i am just going to have to use tape to get it in place, i have a way better idea, so this WILL be updated in the near future.

 

so, first, here is how much they sent (around 2.5M x 2.5M !!!)

 

 

Its actually a really good material, its stretchy, easy to work with (if you make a little mistake whilst cutting, you can just stretch it a little bit more to get the desired shape

and im hoping it will do an awesome job at keeping the unwanted dust out of the case.

 

also, its cheap!!!! (from their website, its around £9 per meter, which is plenty do do most cases!

 

Ive been informed that they do do some finer material as well, so if you want to make sure that absolutly no dust gets through theres always that option!

 

so,  this is what the material looks like when its behind, its REALLY hard to get a photo, but it does look quite vibrant, once i have the lights in the case, and everything is in place i think they will look rather good!

 

 

 

 

 

ive also been doing some spray painting!

 

 

one of the radiators are done, is pretty much done (il probably give it another bit of a sanding down and 1 last coat)

 

 

ive primed the pump and pump top ready for a coating

 

 

and ive sprayed all the fans

 

Before (a nice mix match of gentle typhoon fans and 1 Enermax cluster, id already done the cluster to see what it would look like

ive only actually got 1 week until i need to take this build to i51. 4 out of the 7 days il be working away, so i have 3 days to finish it pretty much. So appologies that this update is a little rushed, and not with great photos!

What do the GT's use to hold them to the fan brackets? Is some sort of springs or something? I've seen them disassembled before and painted but never could get a hold of them to try it myself.

There's a sticker on the back, whip it off and underneath there is a c-clip. Just pop the clip off (you will need something like a couple of pins or nails or something small to help you)

Then just pull the blades and jobs a goodun!

Thanks gents, ive received the last fittings I need (I hope) yet another 60 pounds worth. When I've finished I'm definitely going to tot up how much the fittings alone cost!

Friday I will be back home and working on this. Those that are going to i-series should be able to see a pretty much finished computer! I'm sat next to the main entrance opposite the parvum systems lads!

First of all appologies for the rubbish photo's ive lent my camera out to a friend, so im using my phone at the moment, i will be getting better photos soon though!! Just as soon as i can borrow one, or convince someone we need a night of drinking, playing bored games and taking pictures of tech...

 

so... first of all i got quite a few XSPC waterblocks.

 

i had a XSPC raystorm CPU waterblock

A XSPC Memory WaterBlock (4 Slot)

And a XSPC Z77X-UP7 waterblock ready to go... but again, they are all black!!!

 

sooooo its time for some spray painting!

 

 

 

Here is what i ended up with! I did do them in wrap at first, but i just wasn't feeling it tbh, i prefer the finish of the paint!

Right, to start off with, most of the stuff ive done will be gettinga nother sanding down and another coating of paint when i get more time, ive now got 1 day off work to get this system into some kind of workable starte

and i havnt even tested it properly yet. I have done a fair bit over the last couple of days, but i havnt been taking many pictures really, i WILL be re doing it as i say though, and then i will have my DSLR back  

 

 

 

Firstly a big thanks to

 

 

They have cut some acrylic for me in super fast time! and as always, their work is outstanding!

 

 

they are relitivly simple cuts, but it took a fair few hours work from me, which has been a life saver. 

 

 

This will eventually let me mount my pumps and reservoirs like this :

 

 

I also sprayed 2 gpu blocks white, because 2 look really nice....

 

 

then i sprayed another one because 3 are awesome  

 

 

 

the loop has started to go in!!

 

 

 

 

with my personal favorite bit 

 

 

 

 

ive also taken apart an old fan filter and put my material there instead!

 

 

(excuse the wet patches, id just cleaned out the radiator again)

 

 

Ive still got a hell of a lot to do, but i think i might just have to bang it together on wednesday now so that i can take it to LAN thursday, either that or carry on building when i get to lan haha

 

 

Id also like to thank Garry (confused) for helping me last week with this, he helped me out quite a lot!!! (and bought me some stuff to use!!)

So! I got home today and there was a "we have called but you werent in card" on my door mat.

 

well, as im a grown man, and i can obviously wait till the next day for re delivery... (who am i kidding, i rushed straight out and went to the depot!!!!)

I cant wait to get this into my system so i can see it move around more, you can watch the swirls/patterns for aaaaages they are mesmerising!
