Hi guys and girls...

recently I was shopping for a cpu cooler and I am curious about the difference between these coolers: NHU-14S and NHU12S. I can’t find any comparison on YouTube or anywhere.

They're different sized coolers. The NH-U12S supports 120mm fans, while NH-U14S supports 140mm.

Probably literally the height of the tower & size of the fan.

Check what clearance your case has...

I frequently edit any posts you may quote; please check for anything I 'may' have added.

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

S'about all I can find, so far... Noctua's site may have more 'nerdy' info.

What are you cooling and why are you looking at these coolers in particular?

The NH-U14S is a bit better than the NH-U12S with an additional NF-F12 for push / pull.

Slight correction to this. U14S comes with one A15 fan. U12A has the additional fan. Considering that U14S has 165mm tall heatsink, compared to D15 at 160mm and U12S/A at 158mm, it's not really the one I would pick again.

My wording was too ambiguous.

I literally mean the NH-U12S which comes with a single NF-F12. It's often paired with an additional NF-F12 for push / pull and that configuration performs a bit worse than the NH-U14S.

Basically, the difference being that the NH-U14S has a significantly beefier heatsink that isn't easily overcome with just an additional fan on the NH-U12S.
