Monitor Overclock Works But Does Not Apply In Game?

Hey, so I basically overclocked my monitor (MSI Optix MAG341 CQ) Out of the box it is 100hz, I have always had it OCed to 115hz stable. But today while gaming I noticed that the monitor overclock doesn't apply in game, such as in GTA, CS:GO etc. I check the monitor settings and it says its running at 100hz in game, when I alt+tab out of any game then check the settings of the monitor physically, it shows it is in 115hz, it also shows 115hz as everywhere in Windows 10 Monitor settings. But when in game 100hz is the cap for some reason. It is like freesync or vsync is limiting it but i have it off?

Check that in any gpu tweak or oc software theres no framerate limit or target set.

Might be it, i overlooked that once in asus gputweak and spend days figuring out why my 78hz on 60hz monitor wouldnt "stick" in games :)

anyway, hope you resolve it :)

If your game setting is full screen, I'd guess it is setting a standard setting. Mirrorless windowed might help, or see if you can directly select your overclocked profile.
