Converting HDMI 2.0 to Displayport 1.2 for 144hz Monitor

Hi guys,

I made an oopsie with my new laptop. It has one HDMI 2.0 port on the side, though my monitor is a 2560x1440 Gsync display running at 144hz through displayport 1.2. Using the HDMI port on it limits me to 59hz and disables the Gsync functionality. Is there any way for me to convert the HDMI 2.0 to Displayport 1.2 to get the most out of my monitor?

No, you need a DisplayPort output on your computer.

Does it change anything if I have a Thunderbolt 3 port as well? Or would that limit me to the Integrated graphics instead of the onboard?

i don’t believe it will limit you to integrated graphics.

Depends on the laptop, most have TB3 ports connected from integrated graphics though.
