Samsung 970 Evo plus NVME compatibility

Bassai Dai

Hi all, I'm looking at an NVME drive, and wondered about the compatabillity to my motherboard

The motherboard I am running is an ASRock B450 Steel Legend

and the drive I am considering is: Samsung 970 Evo plus NVME

Or alternatively, what Samsung NVME would be compatible and recommended (500gb - 1TB)

Yes, it's definitely compatible. Just make sure you kept your SSD screws for your motherboard!

If you want to install windows on it, there's some nice cloning software out there for free with some digging. It lets you duplicate your entire boot drive so windows will just boot off of it.

there are other migration tools you can use instead of the samsung one, but if you are stuck using that one. the 970 evo is fine, tho rather expencive for what it offers.

this one isnt as good, but its twice the capacity.

MP510 is an excellent drive which is only slightly worse than the evo.
