So i am trying to build a budget pc but it somehow ended up being a bit too much for my budget, i figured out that i will change my boot drive for a cheap 128 gb m.2 ssd from v-gen then get an 1TB seagate barracuda hard drive for my games. Should i do this? or should i just get a 2 TB seagate barracude HDD for both my game library and for windows

P.S. The price of both the ssd and the hard drive is same as the 2 TB version

Always include an SSD in your PC. At least for windows and a few important apps. A HDD for windows will cripple your whole experience no matter the price point.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

You pretty much need an SSD for Windows in this day and age.

Look for something that uses TLC flash and has a DRAM cache, like a Kingston A2000 which would be a decent choice.

Desktop: Intel Core i9-9900K | ASUS Strix Z390-F | G.Skill Trident Z Neo 2x16GB 3200MHz CL14 | EVGA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER XC Ultra | Corsair RM650x | Fractal Design Define R6

Laptop: 2018 Apple MacBook Pro 13"  --  i5-8259U | 8GB LPDDR3 | 512GB NVMe

Peripherals: Leopold FC660C w/ Topre Silent 45g | Logitech MX Master 3 & Razer Basilisk X HyperSpeed | HIFIMAN HE400se & iFi ZEN DAC | Audio-Technica AT2020USB+

Display: Gigabyte G34WQC

Do what I have, in my system:

250GB SSD for Windows/essentials

500GB SSD for game installs (don't play many games.. OK; ONE game)

1TB* HDD for data/files/photos, etc (* or bigger)

**I frequently edit any posts you may quote; please check for anything I 'may' have amended.**

Current PC spec. in my profile.
Can I realistically call myself a gamer, if I only play ONE, twenty year old game...?

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!

They're about 50-60 of most first world currency, so a good option.
