What you have now is about as good as it will get unless this is a x79 board then a i7 6 core is an option but those are crazy expensive that you might as well just get a new  tho.mobo + cpu +ram combo. You also shouldn't really be bottle necking your gtx 1070 tho

Something like the 1650 V2 is good, for 2 extra cores. You could possibly try overclocking as well, maybe go for an i7 and overclock, but you didn't list what motherboard you have.

Also, what situations are you currently facing a bottleneck in? Your current combination is not so bad

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

The 1660, 2667, and 2687W v2 are the highest clocked CPUs on that platform if you're mainly gaming. They wouldn't be a huge upgrade from your current system tho.

4930Ks and 4960Xs are similar to the 1660 v2 and can be overclocked, but they're quite expensive.

E5-1660 v2 is the fastest for that socket, with at least the same core speed...

Looks like newer processors on the same socket were based on higher total throughput (if that's a thing; more cores, but not necessarily faster cores) and higher caches.

Current PC spec. in my profile.
Can I realistically call myself a gamer, if I only play ONE, twenty year old game...?

Did you test boot it, before you built in into the case?

WHY NOT...?!
