Are those clocks normal? Bottleneck?

I have a ryzen 3600 with tomahawk b450 and a asus r9 290 DirectCU.

While running ac odyssey benchmark @1080p I get about 3100-3350MHz.

I oc a bit 290 @1075mhz mem 1280mhz(cause it gets hot) power +15% and +13mV. The only benefit was that I got less fps drops.

I wanted to ask if cpu clocks are ok or should I get more because I remember with my previous setup(4690k and sabertooth z97) the cpu got 90-100% utilization and I had read that ac is very cpu intensive. So shouldn't it have more on ryzen too?

Did you reinstall Windows after upgrading?

Are you running the latest BIOS and chipset drivers? 

What memory are you using?

Use hwinfo64 to monitor them or ryzen master only for ryzen 

And enable xmp/ docp if it's not enabled

Speaking of temps, I probably wouldn't try overclocking a 290 DirectCU II as they had abysmal cooling for the VRM and memory, since ASUS couldn't be bothered to actually change the cooler, they just took it off the GTX 780 and threw it on a 290.

But I mean that's just my two cents, if you plan on upgrading your GPU soon anyway then who cares I guess.

Maybe due to GPU bottleneck? It wont clock higher if the extra clock cycles are wasted idling.

The 290 is such a hot running GPU  so it could very well be thermal throttling as well

Yeah I owned one personally. The GPU was being cooled fine (as in not 95C like the stock blower style cooler), but the VRM temps would just spike up to 100C+ at full load in its stock configuration.

16gb 3200MHz

latest drivers and bios installed

I changed my intel setup last summer and got the amd setup. Unluckily the ryzen had a faulty core and rma-ed. Now I have the new one. No BSOD but it runs hotter than the previous one. While installing AC it reached 90C but in game it stays at 70C but as I mentioned not keeping 4200MHz. Maybe gpu is bottlenecking ryzen...

86-88 in cinebench

90 aida

65-75 AC in RM

Even if you overclock the GPU, that will be a 5% ~ 10% increase from stock R9-290 performance.

If the GPU is bottlenecking you too much (e.g. 30%+), even a 5% ~ 10% increase, there is a bottleneck from the GPU side.

 

Yes, with the stock cooler, the Ryzen 3600 can get a little warm and/or loud.

Aftermarket CPU cooler is recommended to reduce CPU temperature + noise.
