Corsair or ekwb resivour/pump combo

Hello, I plan on buying a resivour today and I was wondering, what brand would you get? My local microcenter has both corsair and ekwb resivours and I heard from some people that ekwb is the better brand?

Which specific models are you looking at?

Corsair stuff is relatively new, and I've never tried their water cooling products (aside from AIOs).

EKwb has been my personal go-to so far...

I quite like Heatkiller. Comes with a glass tube as standard and RGB is optional.

 

Out of those two options though, EK. Preferably the non-RGB variant but that's probably pretty difficult.

Thought, Corsair advertises 800 LPH @ 2.1m head pressure, while Ekwb is saying max is 1500 LPH, 3.9m max head pressure.

 

Anyways, Corsair uses their proprietary iCUE header for RGB control, while Ekwb uses the some-what standardized 3-pin ARGB header.

I already have the corsair eco system for RGB so is the Corsair pump powerful enough?

From the reviews out there available, it looks like it.

Like I said, it's using a D5 pump, so should be pretty close to the other D5 pumps out there.

I'm sure there's nothing wrong with them but for me personally, I wouldn't buy a RGB reservoir. The motherboard RGB is more than enough. I also have my res mounted on my radiator and it's out of sight.
