Compatible motherboard for a Ryzen 5 3600

So I am helping my friend decide parts for his new system is there any motherboard under $120 dollars which supports Ryzen 5 3600 without requiring any BIOS update?

Most 400-series motherboards nowadays have a supported BIOS installed already. But since B550 just launced I'd recommend that you find a board with that chipset instead.

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

MSI B550-A Pro would be a good option. Although idk how the price is gonna hold up.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.

I agree that going with B550 might be ideal but it might be hard to find a decent one for under $120.

Ah, I didn't notice the 120$ requirement (was skimming too fast thorugh posts). My bad :D

In that case a B450 motherboard would be optimal. People in this thread has already posted solid options so I'm not gonna recommend any.

Please mention or quote me if you want a response. :)

It's overpriced. Entry level B550 boards are better on basically every way possible.

Or the pro 4 is also decent ( if the stock is new it should have the new bios )
