I mean, you could go subzero on an A320 board, it's just that it's not really practical. 

Hardcore overclockers use very high-end boards for LN2 because those boards have extreme overclocking in mind with their feature set, and because while you could use a fairly low-end board and throw LN2 on those VRMs, thermals aren't the only important factor. There's also other things that could affect the overclocking capabilities of a board (like transient response to name an example) but honestly they're a little too complicated for me to list/explain as I'm not too familiar with this whole business myself haha.

 

Still cool to see though. That 3300X with all cores running at 6GHz on a single CCX must be a bomb gaming chip lol

LN2 does not need board support, LN2 boards are meant to offer features useful for LN2 but it's not strictly a must
