Leaked 870M chipset!

Just found a page that's somehow managed to get leaked pictures of the new 870 mobile chipset, which features 6gb of VRAM.... The same as a Titan!! (Seems a bit far fetched if you ask me) Let's just hope that these are leaks of the new Maxwell architecture :)

What do you guys think?

wccftech nop. the stuff they post is barely true. (also 6GB on 192bit Bus makes perfect sense...)

Like I said "somehow" so I'm not putting all my money on it, it would be nice if it was true though

6gb on mobile gpu, seems about right.

6gb i believe it remember more laptops have 4k screens than desktops atm but the memory bus sounds a bit odd :S

The 192 bit bus will be tiny for the 6gb tbh

why does this site is still alive to begin whit, having such a bad record you think it would be dead by now

6 Gb is not that much for mobile gpus, my friend has an aspire v-5 with a 750M which has 4GB of ram... amount of vram tells us nothing

You know this is probably true. The 880m has a confirmed 8GB VRAM as tested here in one of the mobile enthusiast forums. I have a 780m which already has 4GB's of VRAM.

 

And as Bi Pi alrease said, VRAM tells us nothing. Also the 880m isn't the 20nm Maxwell we are all holding out for..not sure about the 870m.

Seems like some mixed opinions here..... its pretty interesting tbh, wonder if it will turn out to be true or not

It is when 6 GB of VRAM paired with a 192-bit bus is technologically impossible.
