You can't in the first place

It's LGA 1155 and the cpu is LGA 1150

The 4460 is a socket 1150 CPU. Your board has an LGA 1155 socket, therefore it only supports Sandy Bridge (2000 series) and Ivy Bridge (3000 series) CPUs, and for Ivy Bridge it'll require a BIOS update.

hey guys,I'm planning to upgrade to to core i5-4460 processor. I have a GA-H67M-D2-B3 mother board and running on Windows 10 core i3 2gb of RAM. do I need to update my bios before upgrading hardware?

Need help!

The best you can do on that motherboard is a i7-2600. It's a different socket so the CPU you chose won't work.
