2080 or 2070S

Here's a GN article showing the 5700XT even with the 2070 non super in F1 2018. Results are fairly similar in other games.

It's still a great value card, I'd recommend it over a 2060S any day at the same price. It's just not a magical panacea that can match any card on the market.

and about the motherboard for the ryzen 7 3700x , would a msi z470 gaming pro work with the cpu?

@TofuHaroto But as seen in the vid the 5700xt was holding 60-110 fps in 'normal' games where there wasn't a quick screen swipe which makes it easier for the fps to go up rather than having fps drops because of the fast gameplay in racing games

More recent Tech Gezus review involving the 2080 Ti, 2070 Super, 2060 KO, 5700 XT. The purpose of the review was to see where the i5-10600K starts to bottleneck, but you can also see how the 5700 XT competes against the 2060 KO (cut down 2080 GPU core) and 2070S.

You can go through the entire video but...

2070S: 135 AVG, 107 1% low, 105 0.1% low

5700 XT: 134 AVG, 106 1% low, 97 0.1% low

2060 KO: 106 AVG, 87 1% Low, 85 0.1% low

5700XT is literally head-to-head with the 2070S.

In some games the 5700 XT pulls ahead, while in others the 2070S is ahead.

And it's not by much, like a 1 ~ 3 FPS difference mostly, and at 1080p / 1440p / 4K.

I have a 3700x and a 5700xt. The 5700xt is a good card. I can’t get 144fps in all my games at 1440p max settings. Hell some games I can’t hit 144fps at high settings. It all depends on the games you play.

Bang for your buck the 5700xt is a great card.
