Okay so I bought everything now I only need the power supply and I really don't know which one should I get.

or

I went to all those pcbuilding sites and I got around 480 in total of watt usage. On GPU official site it says I should use a 650w psu.

idk

I suggest this https://www.evga.com/articles/00971/EVGA-700B-Power-Supply/ because it's not that much more expensive than a 650 w and gives you some headroom to upgrade.

Sorry didn't see the psu you suggested so go for the 650 w corsair one

I will recommend an NHu12s (or an NHd15 (maybe)) for your PC build. Quote or @ me @Prodigy_Smit for me to see your replies.

You want a healthy margin between the power draw of your system and the rating on your psu. Both of those look fairly decent. Might as well go for the 650W

If you judge a fish based on its ability to climb trees it will go its whole life thinking its a failure.

I'd get the TXM. 550W would be more than enough for that system, but if you can get 650W for the same price then why not.

Trading quality for 50 more unnecessary watts really doesn't sound like a good tradeoff to me.

You are trading quality for watts. A 3950x and a 2080ti can run on a 450w. 700w is unnecessary.

If you overclock 450 would not be enough and not to mention, correct me if I’m wrong but if you run the psu near max capacity at all times doesn’t that shorten the life of the unit? Because if it’s ran at near capacity it’s running at near it’s max temp? Which heat = component life. If it’s only like a few bucks for a higher wattage I don’t see why he wouldn’t.

an adequately cooler power supply will not suffer when run near maximum capacity.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 11 and Fedora Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

Nobody will realistically pair a 3950X and 2080Ti with a 450W PSU - @gloop was just using this as an argument for the guy that suggested a 700W PSU instead above, not suggesting OP to get a 400W power supply.

Running a PSU at near full capacity definitely won't help with its longevity, though high-end units won't suffer as much from this.

But my statement is correct. I said

I never said anything about overclocking any component.

Right, I wasn’t aware that kind of hardware could run through a 450 watt. Especially under load. On part picker are the wattage requirements really that off? Is 444 watts what his system will pull under heavy load or is it just overcompensating the fact people buy shit psus

That's definitely one of the reasons.

Are you aware that you're suggesting low end 700W PSU instead if high end 650W one OP is asking about ?

UPDATE : I chose the Corsair 650 watt one, it has a single rail and I wasn't sure to get that one or get a multi rail PSU but since I won't be using the SLI GPU and I don't think I'm going to be in some heavy ass overclocking, I'll get the single one.

I'll make a new update in case anything explodes lmao
